Frequently Asked Questions
Advanced materials, manufacturing methods and impact protection
Peli drone case solutions are engineered using different manufacturing technologies to meet specific operational requirements. Injection moulded cases such as Peli Protector, Storm and Air Cases are produced using high performance polymers that offer excellent impact resistance, structural rigidity and reduced weight. Rotomoulded solutions, including ISP2, Single Lid and Rack Cases, are manufactured from durable polyethylene designed to withstand heavy loads, repeated handling and long term transport.
This range of materials and construction methods allows Peli to protect drones, UAV payloads and sensitive electronics from mechanical shock, vibration and environmental exposure across defence, public safety and commercial applications.
Proven performance in mission critical environments
Yes. Peli cases are widely used by military forces, law enforcement agencies, fire and rescue services and other public safety organisations worldwide. Injection moulded and rotomoulded Peli cases are designed to perform reliably in demanding operational conditions, including extreme temperatures, rough handling and multi-modal transport by land, air and sea.
Selected Peli case ranges meet certified environmental protection standards, while larger rotomoulded and custom solutions are frequently used for vehicle integration, logistics, command systems and long term deployment scenarios.
Engineered interiors and fully custom case solutions
Peli offers a wide range of customisation options to support specific drone platforms and complete UAV ecosystems. Injection moulded cases can be fitted with CNC-machined or water-jet cut foam interiors using high density polyurethane or polyethylene to securely house airframes, gimbals, sensors, controllers and accessories.
For larger or more complex systems, rotomoulded and fully custom case solutions can be engineered to support rack-mounted electronics, battery systems, ground control stations and vehicle-integrated deployments. This approach improves protection, organisation and operational efficiency while reducing setup and deployment time.
Range-specific ingress protection and environmental resistance
Peli drone case solutions provide different levels of environmental protection depending on the case range selected. Peli Protector, Storm and Air Cases are certified to IP67, offering complete protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion in water up to one metre for 30 minutes. These cases also feature automatic pressure equalisation valves to manage altitude changes while maintaining a watertight seal.
Peli rotomoulded cases, including ISP2, Single Lid and Rack Cases, are engineered for demanding transport and deployment conditions and provide strong resistance to dust, moisture and environmental exposure. Ingress protection levels for these cases vary by model and configuration and are not universally classified as IP67.
Secure battery storage through case selection and interior design
Yes. Peli cases can be configured to safely transport UAV batteries and power components when paired with appropriate case selection and interior design. Custom foam layouts and compartmentalisation help isolate individual batteries, reduce movement and minimise mechanical stress during transport.
Both injection moulded and rotomoulded cases can be adapted to support battery transport as part of a wider UAV system, improving organisation, safety and operational readiness while supporting internal handling and transport procedures.
Scalable protection for professional and commercial operations
Peli drone and UAV case solutions are used across defence, public safety, law enforcement and emergency response, as well as in commercial sectors such as energy, utilities, infrastructure inspection, construction, mapping, surveying and industrial operations.
Injection moulded cases are commonly selected for portable field operations, while rotomoulded and custom cases are used for larger systems, logistics, vehicle integration and long term deployments. This scalable approach allows Peli to support both individual drone operators and complex, mission critical UAV programmes.
